We design community buildings, public spaces and decarbonisation projects for councils, charities and public bodies across London. Successful public buildings come from taking the time to understand the organisations and communities they serve.

For Camden Council, working with Max Fordham, we are replacing the failing gas heat network of the locally listed Maiden Lane Estate with nine air source heat pumps, on a site the residents' association chose. In Islington, our new building for Sunnyside Community Gardens, a therapeutic horticulture charity, was approved unanimously in 2026, its design funded through Islington's Section 106 contributions. At International Quarter London in Stratford, we designed the first of a family of public shelters for people working in a district of very large buildings.

We often join an organisation while a great deal is still uncertain, and help it make clear decisions early. Listening comes first, then a response shaped around what you actually need. We are experienced with complex public funding, large project teams and the long approvals these projects involve, and we aim for design that is inclusive, low in carbon, and keeps working for the people who use it long after we finish.
