Cooke Fawcett is an award-winning architecture practice based in Farringdon, London. The practice specialises in adaptive reuse, retrofit, and projects on challenging sites. We create sustainable spaces that respond precisely to context and enable new uses.
Recent projects include Cockpit Studios Deptford, a £2.25m retrofit creating new maker spaces and community facilities (AJ Retrofit Awards 2025 Highly Commended, RIBA South-East London finalist), and Quidhampton Mill House and Studio, shortlisted for the 2025 RIBA South Awards and AJ Small Projects Awards.
Founded in 2015 by Oliver Cooke and Francis Fawcett, the practice combines technical expertise in retrofit and heritage with a collaborative approach to client relationships. Oliver and Francis met at Cambridge and later worked together at Herzog & de Meuron before establishing their own practice.
The practice works with individual property owners, arts organisations and charities, local authorities, and commercial clients, with particular expertise in planning for sensitive sites, sustainable retrofit, and creating spaces that serve diverse communities.

Hector gained his Master in Architecture and Urban Planning with Honours from ETSA Barcelona in 2016 and also studied restoration architecture at Politecnico di Torino. He brings international experience from his time at Tatiana Bilbao Estudio in Mexico City, and qualified as an ARB architect in 2017.
