A new entrance part leads into the reconfigured existing house, and forms the link to the large new space. This is characterised by windows and glazed doors oriented to the garden, shaded by climbing plants on a projecting trellis. The new structure is clad in sheets of dark profiled concrete boards, with timber window frames.
A large horizontal slot window and rooflight illuminate the kitchen area. Extensive built-in cupboards provide storage for one of the clients, a clothing designer.
