We have secured planning consent for the new entrance to Aldersgate House, our retrofit of a late-1980s office directly above Barbican station for UCG.
The approval covers the ground-floor entrance and façade. We are doubling the width of the lobby by taking in a former coffee-shop bay next door and removing the cluttered canopy that darkened the corner, opening the arrival onto the busy junction outside. The reworked sequence also resolves the awkward multi-level entry created by the building's existing ground-floor levels, making it easier to reach for everyone who uses it.
Work continues on site, with the main construction under way through 2026.
