Oliver's account of a walking trip in the Swiss Valais is published in RIBA Journal.

Once a year he and Francis meet Evert Klinkenberg of BETA office and Tilmann Schmidt of Zimmer Schmidt Architekten for a few days of walking and talking about what comes with running a small practice. The four worked together at Herzog & de Meuron before starting their own studios. This year Tilmann organised: a stay in Ernen, in a historic mountain house his practice has refurbished, then a full day's hike over the Albrun Pass into Italy, climbing past granaries raised on wooden posts capped with flat stone discs to keep rodents out.

The piece ends at the Rhonegletscher, visibly smaller than when Oliver and Francis lived in Switzerland fifteen years ago.
